Baseball batting tee?

Ok so i’m 13 years old and i’m thinking about buying a batting tee for baseball. My question is, i’ve heard a lot of people say that batting tees are great for practicing your swing. Are they really? DO you think it would be a good investment? Also should I buy a net so i can use it in my yard. Yes a batting tee is a great investment to help with your swing. We used them in high school and ive seen them used by colleges all the way up to the pros. If you have a chainlink fence in your backyard you wont need a net, just hit it into the fence otherwise a net wont cost you to much more. Also before spending all that money at Sports Authority or Di*ks sporting goods on a tee, i would recommend checking walmart, they usually have them. I would also recommend purchasing Ted Williams book called the science of hitting, its about $10 at amazon. Its a wonderful book with lots of information on perfecting your swing and becoming a better hitter. Hitting off a tee will do no good if you dont know what your doing, this is why i recommend that book. good luck
