softball pitching question?
Okay so I know someone that said they used to pitch like this, but im not even sure if its legal! If it is, I wanna work on it!
So she said what you do is you act like your going to do your normal windmill windup, but you let go of the ball before you go into the windmill. So she brings her arm back, and when she brings it forward to go into the windmill, she lets go of the ball before she goes into the windmill. Than she does the windmill but by the time she’s finished doing the windmill the ball is already in strikezone or catchers glove area!
Do you get what I mean?
Does anyone know if this is legal or not? ASA or NSA rules?
You do not have to use a windmill motion to throw a legal pitch.
Many pitchers used to throw this way, but it is not as fast or effective as using the windmill motion.
